There have been many attempts in the last year to stifle the use of homeopathy in the United Kingdom, even though the Royal Family is a firm believer in integrative health care. I was thrilled to hear that a person with money has found a clever way to improve health care within the system that includes homeopathy. Richard Branson is also launching programs here in the Unite States.

Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group is establishing a network of branded clinics that could offer homeopathy along with typical GP services in “one-stop-shop” health.
Virgin would offer a range of additional NHS and private services to visiting patients, including dentistry, screening, a pharmacy “and a range of conventional and complementary therapies”.
The government is already planning to open many new practices and health centres over the next few years.Mark Britnell, director of commissioning at the department of health, said £250m a year had been earmarked for the new services, “and we are very pleased that Virgin and others are prepared to offer them”.
Virgin is planning a “road-show” through 26 towns and cities – including Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol – to explain its plans in more detail to doctors. Invite your British friends to attend these meetings and see if the alternative approach is really being offered.
